DESCRIPTION:Click for Latest Location Information: http://smartdata2015.dataversity.net/sessionPop.cfm?confid=91&proposalid=7636\nThe amount of tabular data on the web, typically in the form of comma-separated-values or tab-separated-values, rivals that of HTML itself. The problem has long been that such simple formats provide no context for the data, making reliable interpretation difficult. The goal of these standards it to define a metadata format describing tabular data that can be used to validate, view, and convert information from one or more tables into JSON or RDF.\nThis presentation will provide an overview of the tabular data model and (JSON-LD based) metadata format along with important use cases and conversion examples.\nWe will discuss:\nModel for Tabular Data and Metadata on the Web (http://www.w3.org/TR/tabular-data-model)\nMetadata Vocabulary for Tabular Data (http://www.w3.org/TR/tabular-metadata)\nCSV on the Web: Use Cases and Requirements (http://www.w3.org/TR/csvw-ucr/)\nGenerating RDF from Tabular Data on the Web (http://www.w3.org/TR/csv2rdf/)\nGenerating JSON from Tabular Data on the Web (http://www.w3.org/TR/csv2json/)
