In the new wave of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, it is difficult to galvanize movement such as schema.org to standardize linked data annotation models for various vaguely defined subsections such as health care, wearable device, smart home, industrial internet and others.\nAmong these subdomains, automotive industry has really well defined properties and data models for the components being used and their relationships. Therefore in the IoT domain, it is a comparatively convenient task to define the concept of “Software Defined Car” platform that utilizes linked data and other semantic technologies. The platform should enable interoperability and reasoning between components of the car while also providing accessibility to the external internet technologies such as web services, software applications, big data analytic and artificial intelligence.\nThis presentation will include detailed description of the following milestones to achieve the greater goal, mentioned above:\nIdentify major properties and relationships to create default ontologies for a car  \nDevelop tools for manufacturer to create individual linked data models from the default  \nRepository that store and provide access to the linked data models through APIs  \nPlatform the enables access of the physical components of the car to other services through the URIs  \nSecurity layer to restrict authentication and access of the different properties of the model
