During this time, we have had numerous discussions with customers and partners about their requirements and the various ways semantic technologies could be used in their intended applications (products, services, or internal operations) to derive the maximum benefit. Besides support for W3C standards, several unique requirements have emerged from these discussions. Supporting these requirements is crucial for a successful deployment of semantic technologies in a real-world enterprise setting. \nThis presentation will focus on these enterprise-level requirements. We will describe each of the major requirements, discuss how it emerged from different customer interactions, and explain how it was translated into a feature of Oracle Database Spatial and Graph Option. Attendees will gain insight into how major Oracle customers are using semantic technologies and what unique capabilities those customers required for their deployments.
