Today's businesses continue to collect an overwhelming amount of non-transactional data - commonly referred to as 'dark data', which Gartner defines as ‘information assets that organizations collect, process and store during regular business activities, but generally fail to use for other purposes.’

While it can appear obscure and unhelpful, if approached in the correct way, dark data can reveal all kinds of patterns and insights that would otherwise have been missed.

This session covers:

  • The power of graph databases for businesses to unlock the relationships inherent in their dark data
  • Learning how graph databases naturally lend themselves to the mapping of relationships between data, making it easy for businesses to see connections between the information they have - As a result, businesses can ask questions of the database that will bring life to insights in data that have a real impact on their bottom line

Emi lEifrem is the founder of Neo4j, the most widely deployed graph database on the planet, CEO of its commercial sponsor Neo Technology, and a co-author of the O'Reilly book Graph Databases. He plans to save the world with graphs and own Larry's yacht by the end of the decade. He tweets at @emileifrem.
